(Clip of a Youtube video) So, I saw people speculating that the hideout in Half-Life Alyx's quarantine zone belonged to Barney, and I don't really see that. But I was watching a playthrough (sadly I don't have a VR headset or a machine that could run HLA), and I DO think he's in the game! Watch the Metrocop that Olga passes. He does this weird little jaunty walk when he goes by her, with his face averted, and then adopts a different stance from the other CPs. This takes place right next to a missing cat poster. You never fight this set of CPs. It makes sense to me that Barney could be undercover already by this point, and that if he were he'd be stationed close to Alyx's hideout to keep Civil Protection away from her. Or maybe I'm reaching, but this is my headcanon until definitively proven otherwise. 🤭 What does everyone think?
