you ever think about how gordon and chell both get sent to the metaphorical fields of elysium at the end of their respective stories (gordon at the end of epistle 3). you know. where mythological heroes go after they die. and they were both of almost messianic status at the end of their games... with chell getting murals dedicated to her and the way wheatley talks about "the human who killed *her*." gordon is obvoius the elysium parallel is definitely intentional in portal, with its direct references to prometheus and tartarus. gordon technically gets sent to a "shore" at the end of epistle 3 but it still counts i think
