I just finished half-life with the ray tracing mod, the game looks AMAZING and plays marvelous like the original, if you can experience it I really recommend it! I have a standard 2060 and it ran flawlessly on Linux with DLSS on quality (I don't know about windows though).

damn, do you know if it works on amd gpus on windows because I have a raytracing compatible and card and whenever I launch the game it acts as if the card doesn't support it, on Linux btw just wondering if this is a proton issue or a support issue

Although i don't have a amd gpu i had a similar problem, what i did was in the description of this vid: (youtu.be/Ijukh1NGClQ), basically i created a profile on lutris with the latest proton avaible, selected the option to run games via wine and then i add the parameters on the description of the video, and also i had to add VCRun 2019 via proton tricks.

if it gets easier in future I'll probably try it out but in general if it doesnt work with proton its usually kind of a hassle
