Imagine this subspecies of flying headcrabs
It reminds me of a parasite from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Oblivion Lost (part 1/2)

Given how the original concept kinda looked like a squid, maybe they could bring it back as an aquatic variation of the headcrab, maybe in an aquatic spinoff or level (and satisfy my need for ACTUAL fluid physics in games)

I thought that said Very Oiled headcrab
