I thought the same when Source 2 was announce many years ago, first was the experiment with Left 4 Dead 2, Dota 2 port, all the VR projects, Half-Life Alyx and now CS2, we are more close than before thats for sure, at least for the software since the final hours of Half-Life Alyx tell us that they tried the Half-Life 3 development some times but they didnt figure out what they want to do (thats is what I remember may be i am wrong)
