I kept seeing Portal videos in my YouTube feed for a long time, but I had no idea what Half-Life was. The thing that got me into Portal was a video on one of my other favorite games, that mentioned Valve in it, and I read the comments, and I decided to look up Portal. I think this was back in either late 2020 or early 2021. That was the first time I really “discovered” Valve for the first time. Before I knew they were the guys who ran Steam and I had tried to play with Gmod, but I wasn’t like hardcore interested in them.
The first time I recall ever seeing anything Valve related was Heavy saying Pootis repeatedly in this one YTP from waaay long ago.

Team Fortress 2 is most of my childhood and then i started playing the half life series starting with half life 2 and then all valve games, every single one of them and now i still play ALL of them.

Garry's Mod was the first time I knew Valve existed, but I definitely saw Valve memes before that.
