Here's a giant ass spreadsheet I made of everything half-life, organized by release date, and color coded by medium/canonicity. I'm always updating the list, so you might occasionally see me making edits. 500+ mods strong so far! You might need to correct the zoom for fullscreen. Let me know if I'm missing anything, always accepting requests to add more, I plan on going through them all when I'm done, whenever that is...

Hello, love the concept, but where are the 500+ mods, that you mention? Maybe I am not seeing everything? Anyway, do you have an idea what are you going to do with this database of yours? A blog maybe, a Yotube channel, or something? I have personally tested every single SP mod, that was ever released for any Half-Life game (except Alyx mods, because I still lack the needed equipment) ever in order to accumulate the complete collection for the ultimate Half-Life experience. I made a long list with a short review sentence for each entry and selected the ones, that I have deemed worthy for a separate list, that was carefully sorted as my own perfect and consistent Half-Life lore related playthrough. Every mod in this list has my comment about it's plot and currently I am looking for ways to share this vast knowledge, that I have gathered over the past 3 years with the world. Therefore, your spreadsheet seems to be very relevant to what I do and a I think there might be a possibility to cooperate.

The mods listed are deeper down the spreadsheet. You might need to adjust the zoom factor to view the entire sheet if viewing on mobile or a non-standard resolution.I've also noticed Google sheets dark mode inverts the blacks and effectively ruins the theming of the spreadsheet, so it might look better on desktop. The sheet is segmented in 5 lists 1) Official Valve HL Universe releases (Line 4-158) 2) Notable Mods, Fan Games, Standalone Goldsrc/Source/Source2 games (Line 169-674) 3) Work in Progress games and Playable demos (677-744) 4) Controversial fan games and mods (Line 747-756) 5) abandoned, canceled, or lost mods in "purgatory" (Line 759-768) I was juggling what to do with this, partly it's for personal archival reasons so I don't have to make sure I have 700 source mods installed to my steam folder at all times, I'm currently working on learning J.A.C.K, so it's also a neat source of the history of HL mapping so I can pick up on tips left behind by other mod authors. I've also thought of making a YouTube series on playing them all by year, but I want this to be absolutely comprehensive with everything possible I could add before I even start that project. It only started as "oh how many half life games are there" and spiralled out into "well here's the entirety of TWHL and RTSL competitions" then "here's the top 100 all time from both" and "here's all the ones bolloxed played on youtube" and "here's the ModDB mod of the year contenders from 2003-2023" so on so forth until I kept finding more and more to add. I don't really know what to do with the data outside of personal reasons, but I feel like a majority of these unknown goofy one-off creations should be shared outside of word-of-mouth and a URL from a website last updated in 2003.

I also don't exactly know which one follows canon properly, so if you want me to change any red text to white, I'd be happy to oblige. If you want to talk more about merging lists, playing mods, and working on a project I'm more than willing to listen! You can reach me on discord at: "mr.knight3356"

Sounds like we have a lot in common. I also have some limited Hammer skill and I promised myself, that when I'm done testing everything there is to test, I will try make my own HL lore related mod as a tribute to the community and it looks like the time for that has already come. I just need to refine, polish and do some fixes & changes to the mods, that I already added to my collection. I don't use discord, but will probably try to create an account there (been planning to do that long ago) as soon as I am back from my train driving trips. I am looking forward to checking up with your data to possibly update my own list and you will probably find my data interesting too. I haven't shared it anywhere public yet.
