Hello. This is my first post here in λG. This is a concept i worked on for Boreal Alyph, a cancelled Fan-game based on Laidlaw's Epistle 3. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask about it.

Hi! Always interesting to see development sketches for Half-Life projects, Boreal Alyph especially! Given the drastically different setting of Boreal Alyph to HL2 and episodes, how much of the in-game content had to be reimagined and/or redesigned from the ground up? This scanner reimagined for an arctic environment is a very interesting example of what you guys did to make the world of Half-Life fit into an arctic setting. Was there any particular reimagining/redesigning work you had done which you were most proud for Boreal Alyph?
We worked on some variations for the zombies to match the new arctic conditions, like necrosis caused by the mutated parts of the body in contact with the cold ambient (specially the hands). Some Combine Soldiers had different variations according to the proximity to the Borealis. Aliens like the Bullsquid and Houndeye had slightly different appearances in contrast to their original HL1 counterparts. I could make a list if the rest of the dev team agrees on it. As for my favorite work made by me... I'm gonna share it tomorrow here in λG.
this is some really nice work! do you know if the other developers will ever release what they made for the game? like maps, models, etc
As far as i know we are able to share most of our work. But that should be asked to their respective creator.
