Episode 1 was the first Half-Life game I ever played so it holds a place in my heart, also the setting of the game was just cool and I loved the expanded use of the gravity gun such as using it to block antlion holes with cars.
The only controversial opinion is one game involving a guy with a f-ed up face.

honestly i can say it for HL2 EP1, loved the part where you guide alyx with any light source but i dont have the expansions for HL1 so cant say it
oh yeah that chapter was called "Lowlife"

Decay did aported something to the HL franchise. It was the first multiplayer and co-op game.
