Back in 2017, an italian gaming news website (https://web.archive.org/web/20190613163848/https://thenerdmagazine.com/half-life-3-comics-il-ritorno-di-gordon-freeman/) reported the arrive of an upcoming fan made graphic novel, whose story was a direct sequel to the ending of Episode 2, specifically with Eli's funeral. It was made by two italians, Alberto Til as writer and someone named Joachin for the artwork. The plan for the comic was to be relased through ten issues, thes being free by registering to the official site (https://web.archive.org/web/20180105164140/https://hl3comics.com/). This news was shared by other italian outlets [https://multiplayer.it/notizie/182288-half-life-3-annunciato-half-life-3-il-fumetto-amatoriale.html] [https://www.thegamesmachine.it/news-videogiochi-pc-ps4-xbox-wii-u-app/76051/half-life-3-fumetto-alberto-til-joachim/] [https://www.italiatopgames.it/articoli/news/half-life-3-comics-il-ritorno-di-gordon-freeman/118668/] and even a russian one [https://hl-inside.me/comments/?1492730780]. The comic account still has a Twitter (https://twitter.com/hl3comics?lang=it) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/hl3comics), but they stopped updating since 2018.
The only existing issues of the comic are a couple of preview screenshots but the whole project seems to have reached lost media status.
As for the people behind it: Alberto still has a personal facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/albertotil), still active but rarely posts anything, as of last post was in March of 2023, and pretty much not even an update on the comic book.
Joachim could be either a pseudonym, or he could be Joachim Tilloca (https://joachimcomics.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2022-08-11T01:38:00%2B02:00&max-results=13). While he doesn't reference Half Life at all in his blogspot, he might be the same person due to some similarities in his drawing style.

Wasn’t Eli’s death interveined in Ep 2 part 2?
