will be deleting after a couple o' weeks* hey, so ive been trying to get the achievement zombie chopper for awhile now. this is my third attempt today and for some reason the achievement broke, - i havent use any weapon except gravity gun - i didnt grab Grigori's shotgun - sv_cheats is set to 0 i have no idea how this could happen, can anyone help here?
It should activate once you get past the map with the sawblade minecart and to the sniper trainyard map
damn, all the way there?? i thought it activated when grigori got (presumably) ashed! ill try it now, will update if it worked
Zombie Chopper was one of my favorite achievements to get (in HL2: Update, granted), and there are a couple quirks for how it works. You don't have to have the Gravity Gun out at all times, you just have to only do attacks with it. I did that secret where you go through the vent and get the grenades, switched back to the gravity gun, got the SPAS-12 from Grigori, switched back immediately, and it still activated. It's more like "Only Attack with the Gravity Gun", so switching to another weapon is fine, just not firing with another weapon. Also, when you get to the waiting for Grigori's zipline cart, grab the mattress from the room below and dangle it over the ledge with the first moving pipe. The Fast Zombie will get stuck on it, and the ones from the other pipes won't spawn because the first wave isn't dead. Other than that, the only thing to worry about is the combat with the Gravity Gun. That room with like twenty zombies coming out of a doorway is hectic without the AoE of the Grenades by your side. i actually had beat it several times haha, i have no idea you need to go to the train part to get it XD the mattress trick sounds interesting, the way i did it was jump towards the ladder below, climb up and repeat that process and hope the fast zombies didnt push you towards the poison zombie or kill you by fall damage, inconvenient but its fun lol
