[HELP] Gmod stuck on initializing resources. Whenether I am going to play any gmod singleplayer map, It always gets stuck on initializing resources. I haven't installed any new addons, I played with the addons I always play with, I verified and reinstalled the game yet nothing happened. I removed, deleted and unsubbed from my addons and re installed them. But nothing is working. That same day Gmod was working but I guess it just decided to die on me. Any Idea, or help that anyone can give me?
I know that you said you didn't install any new addons, but I've looked at a couple discussions (this steamcommunity.com/app/4000/disc… and this reddit.com/r/gmod/comments/vvjvw…) and it sounds like it is an addon problem, maybe the author of one of the addons updated something that is causing problems. I would suggest looking at the most recently updated addons you're subscribed to on the workshop, see if anyone is reporting similar issues and if a fix is on the way, if not, then you could make a private collection with everything you have, then unsubscribe from it all, try launching gmod, and then gradually add back in your stuff until you identify the problem one, and then ignore that one for now I guess.
I have already a collection with my installed mods, but damn I am not going to install 801 addons one by one. Even though gmod is one of my favourite games. I cannot do that. I am just going to wait for the new update and re download gmod. But if it doesn't get fixed. I might actually do that, unfortunately.
You might have fixed it by now but I fixed it by switching to the 64x83 chromium beta branch
