why is the orange portal, well pink in the steam screenshots is it beta content or just the way the image was rendered.

2beta half-life 2 or beta half-life 1 which had better ideas? for me it's half-life 1 because as a spec evo fan i love the cut aliens, plus if added to retail lore they wouldn't change much, and just make the xen ecosystem more fleshed out.
