TF2 Upcoming Update Discussion Thread I've created this post as a discussion thread regarding the upcoming TF2 update this summer. What are your thoughts on this? What do you think now that Valve edited their blog post and reworded it to tell us exactly what to expect? What were your original thoughts when it got published?

I think the update is probably something small, and some intern wrote the first article draft (hence why it has some stock image), upper management saw the hype and panicked knowing it wasn’t much.
The veterans of TF2 probably got a panic attack when the saw the article. And at the end of the day, it was never meant to be an update fully backed by Valve (hence the workshop creators call to arms) but rather a community update similar to Blue Moon.
if true it's sort of sad dude was just trying to give us hope, Valve really should do what they did with Dota 2 and CS:GO and Higher a Bunch of passionate fans to work on the game
I left the game a long time ago, but my thoughts were. Me before the edit: Unexpected but not unwanted. Me after: That makes more sense.

It was never meant to be a "major" update, the community hyped it up more than they should've. Still it's a permanent content update, it's been years since we've gotten one of those, it's better than whatever holiday themed crap we get that only sticks around for a couple of weeks.
