that's where you use the Sierra version of the game
screw this. Xash is better and gave almost twice as more FPS. I once have PC with 16 Vram, And Xash3d is only way to play HL1 in playable qulity
what resolution did you play it on and what was the average fps?
In my old PC it was 800 600. Where GoldSRC HL1 gave - 25-35 FPS, and Xash3d - 45-60
