Something I absolutely love about this website is that it has never randomly logged me out. So many sites insist on doing that shit, but not this one. As someone who forgets his passwords a lot, I'm forever grateful.

To be fair to other sites, browser companies (mainly Apple) have made it a nightmare for web devs in this area in recent times due to bs policies. We’ve had to do a lot of work to achieve this, which would previously have been simple.
They actively make it harder to achieve this? Why???
It stems from GDPR and other nonsense targeted at cookies, which are the scapegoat for a lot of privacy issues nowadays. None of these rules actually stop sites from tracking or spying on people, they always find a way. Just makes user experience terrible and development more complicated. Cookie banners another example - done fuck all to stop Facebook/Google spying, just wasted an awful lot of everyone’s time.
I can relate. I use a password manager to copy and paste mine so i dont have to remember them
