I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but the people of this community always were good to me so I guess it's fine. Okay so I want to share Half-Life related artworks but I often struggles with basic rules. Does anyone know where I could start learning about these? (like anatomy, shading...) It would really help me in my works. Thanks for reading until the end and have a good day/night.

Heyy ! I'd suggest using lots of reference. I learned how to draw by myself, and at first it was mostly by trying to replicate someone else's drawing. There a probably a bunch of youtube videos that go iver the basics. The most important thing to learn, in my opinion, is shapes. Everything starts woth basic shapes. For example, if you want to draw Gordon Freeman, take a reference picture, try to find which basic shapes correspond to what in the character ( circle for head and shoulders, rectangle for the body etc) and then build the finer details of the character. For anatomy, I would suggest punterest or simply the internet. There are a lot of picthres that break down anatomy simply. I'd say the two most important things when learning anatomy is learning the basic bone structure (how long are each bone etch, for example : elbow goes down to hip, hand goes down to knee,...) then how the muscles are attached to the skeleton, which makes volume. Remember that learning how to draw is a long process, and that even if it "looks bad" at first, it's always good because you are practicing and improving. Also, keep in mind that everyone has a different art style. I am by no mean an art expert. Feel free to ask me any question you have !
