Anyone knows why HL Opposing Force has only a tiny playerbase??? the game is really good but since I discovered it, it was already in that state.
Any senior fan knows something about this?
I'm not a senior fan but if I had to guess it's a mix of popular discussion being about Half Life 1 and 2 and most people who've played the expansions still having it physically. Most people outside of the fanbase seemingly only know of the games as being 1, City 17, and Eli dies in Episode 2 and that's it. Maybe that Gordon carries a gnome at some point if they've seen memes about Half Life but not that White Forrest exists, the achievement tied to Gnome Chompski, or any other context. And that's assuming they know the Episodes exist and don't assume it's all in one game.
of course any person outside our community dont know about this game and his online mode which is what I am refering the most.
Our community knows that OP has online and they love the game, it has +100 player per day but only like 15 online, it seems strange to me.
Excuse me for the late reply but what I mean to say is that there may be fewer people than we think who even know about the expansions. Sure, our community knows about Opposing Force. But newer or casual fans might not or might willingly ignore them and skip to Half Life 2.
And I am more trying to refer to the main community with many years here, they say that OP is God Tier but barely no one plays it nowadays (i am again refering to community ppl)
