gun lore:
The Maelstrom DX-44 was made to be used by the ISP in their weapons program. It won against the ADLR-75 CZC 10mm, which is now a civillian carry in the ISC.
The ELSTER-13/18 was found in another universe by Lambda. It was then opened up and the details shared, and now it was named after the "main character" of said universe. The replica models are developed by Hanft and Kriegler.
The SMG-3, formerly the "PM-6", started life as the SMG-1 prototype, then the PM-6 prototype. It was then shelved, and years later, was found to be suitable for space combat. It fires a 3-round hyperburst that DOESN'T HAVE RECOIL, and it is light, compact and the bullet velocity can be controlled via a switch near the barrel. It is not used much though.
