Back in 2006 a lot of comics were taking place by the coast in HL2, a trend most likely started by BrashFink’s Apostasy series, starring pensive characters using boxes to narrate separation, loss and nostalgia. Taking the idea from a Discord conversation, with a punchline stolen from the succint Mjolnir, I created this little fella as a homage and a lampoon to the coastal days of yore.

Half-Life: Survivor models are goofy but kewl. They give a nice variety to the OG HL2 models. Here some of them are helping the Beta models sniff out some Beta Conscripts.

This is a recreation of a screenshot I made 16 years ago titled ”No Home King”. It focuses on a special little nook in d1_canal_05, which is part of my absolute favorite chapter of Half-Life 2, Route Kanal.
