<< W A R N I N G >> Borderlands 2 is free on steam rn, but the publisher Take Two Interactive (known as the owners of Rockstar Games and 2K) updated the EULA to make it a frickin' spyware, if you accept the new EULA you have to: -Don't install any type of mod. (even if it is legal in your country, you can't) -Don't use a VPN / virtual machine. -Let them see your search history. -Let them use an AI to analyze your gameplay. <The EULA doesn't affect if you claim the game but when you install it for the first time / update it if you had it already installed> <update: they might not change it cuz in legal terms, they're warning you that they can see your search history and all that, so it isn't technically a spyware> Right now Borderlands 2 is being review-bombed with bad reviews.

Great. Was just half way through playing this with a friend.
oh my fucking god I HATE TAKE TWO INTERACTIVE SO MUCH!
I mean....thank goodness I'm not interested with Gearbox's other projects beyond HL: Decay....
so they made it free to distribute spyware, i hope valve takes it down
what the fuck. literally why in the hell would they make it spyware??? what kind of benefit are they getting from making it spyware???
selling data to know what u like for advertising (which, i dunno if that's the case) explained badly: u wanna buy a Ralsei plushie, u search for it and when u see that it cost 35$ you think "nah, i don't got da money" and u leave the page, that data is saved and they take it to sell to advertisors, so they make more advertising.
genuinely insane how far advertisers will go just to sell a product more
yeah, at least it doesn't happend with the ralsei plusie, i want him so frikin' bad
What?? That's insane. Do you know if the EULA also applies to stuff like Bioshock, or is it just Borderlands 2? I know Bioshock is also owned by 2K, and I'm halfway through Bioshock: Infinite and was wondering if the EULA also applied there. Sorry if this is a stupid question.
it's all Take-Two and 2K games, i believe
Ah, okay. Well, that really sucks. Here’s hoping that they realize their stupid mistake sooner or later and take it back. It’s crazy how blind some of these corporations can be.
every borderlands and some other games that are still being updated, so i think yes
fuck i guess i cant play bioshock..
Question is the EULA active because i downloaded it halfway and stopped it midway or its not active ?
it only works when u play the game, if u accept the eula and u don't install the game they can't
That is bound to be illegal
that is Bound 2, by Kanye West
common greedy AAA company L
Thanks for the FUCKIN NEGATIVE NOTHING. I can't even finish my achievement hunting in BioShock 2 & Infinite because of the worst EULA in gaming
And I can’t even get this shit for free, just because "You live in a poor country outside the EU economy, which is called Lithuania"
I got it for free through this method...
Yup just stopped it downloading midway this is bullshit
