It doesnt matter if Opossing Force is cannon or not, because its cannonity has no effect on any other game. No half-life sequel takes place in america so you can't know if Black Mesa has been destroyed by a nuclear bomb, and the X Race probably just left earth after their gene worm was defeated, or the Combine exterminated them from earth. All Shepard's weapons were taken by Gman, so nobody discovers the Displacer cannon and all its capabilities, and so on.
We see gordon right? Well, its definitely canon. The only thing that makes half life 1 canon is that everybody praises gordon but nobody knows about adrian and nobody talks about what barney calhoun did back then.
