i dont meen to sound stupid but what does the open source thing do?
If you liked a feature within division 1.2's code and you wanted it in your own mod, you can now access the codebase for the mod (which is usually inaccessible in pre-built binary files) and implement it! You will need some coding knowledge to do so, though!
