For the mayor we really wanted a breen-like figure head. Lockwood started life as Sandro (male06)
The world building in this has me really intrigued! I couldn't stop thinking about it after I saw this teaser this morning. I'm not sure if this was intended to be a story in the Half-Life universe or completely standalone and original. But I got really excited because this is exactly how I'd imagine the wider world of Half-Life was like before the events of the first game.
Thanks! It's its own universe, and It's been a lot of fun building it. It's a re-imagined New York City in the late 90s. A power vacuum has left Union City in a dismal state, and a militant corporation is attempting to seize control of the city, leaving the crime families and factions to fight amongst themselves while being crushed. The player, just catching their bearings in the city, is thrown in amongst these factions, and must make a name for themselves while also staying alive in the brutal violence of the city.
