"d1_quarry_01" is a map from Half-Life 2 Beta, calm, without a fight, and conducive to exploration. This map was part of "Quarrytown", one of the older versions of Ravenholm. It is a large canal, which serves as a quarry, as evidenced by the various construction machinery. A few cranes fell into the canal. This stream is populated by oddly peaceful Ichthyosaurs. Several buildings and metal structures adorn the area. All under Alyx's eyes, overlooking the stage.
