Clearing up some misconceptions about a pre-release version of a L4D map.

In the October 28, 2008 build of L4D (found on the retail disc of the game) there is an early compile of the first map of No Mercy. This is NOT a map by Turtle Rock Studios, but rather is from when Valve started redesigning the game. This map is circa late May to early June 2008 as by late June the transition to the next map was the subway entrance like the final game.

Also, this various obvious differences between the footage from May 2008 and the P15 BSP. As depicted in the latter 2 photos of this post. (Ran out of characters to type it in the OP.) Additionally, this map has been publicly known and documented since August of 2020!

Also, from my research, the VPK files don't contain any unique files compared to the final game. Just an unique BSP. Another piece of information about this build that's unique: Death Toll and Dead Air lack their Versus equivalents, which prove that the unique Versus campaigns were a late addition. Dead Air has a mission file that shows that it being worked on at the time, but Death Toll Versus has no reference in the build. Also, the outro of the campaigns are different to the final game.
