What about instead of suit or armor, Otis has a "fat-o-meter?"
He can find boxes of donuts or Big Tony's pizza, and it'll increase his fat-o-meter the more he eats out of a box of food.
Fat will decrease the amount of damage taken by anything, basically like a sponge. Otis's default walking speed will gradually decrease as the
"fat-o-meter" increases and will make crouching slower.
Otis's "fat-o-meter" cannot be lowered by anything that damages the player.
The only way the "fat-o-meter" can only be lowered is if you sprint and jump regularly. Basically like exercise.
Players who don't want to walk at a snail's pace or are being chased will be inclined to lower the "fat-o-meter" by running, which will make them faster, but make them more vulnerable to damage.
just want to let you know that it's okay to have less than 1.0 texture scaling. valve does it to signs and posters and things precisely because they need more definition for them than the standard <1 pixel per hammer unit> for walls and floors.
and that hanging walkway? I wouldn't put my signature on the design drawing for it.
Valve Hammer Editor is a kinda-nice way to start out the mapping career ( I start the mapping career using the Ol' VHE 3.4 or 3.5 )
I recommend you using JACK Editor if things get very complicated when using Valve Hammer Editor, I have since moved to JACK when starting to work on Half-Life: Extended

This is a legitimate concept I came up with by the way, not a joke. Probably give it another name other than "fat-o-meter" though.
Nice idea! But i dont think it would work for the mod itself. If we get some extra post-release time, we will add it as a gamemode.

What kind of editor are you using on? Just wanted to know
