SMOD Arcade: The Red Republic

So here we have the Red Republic from SMOD Arcade - the faction that constantly battles the mistaken identity crisis. Clad in their bright red uniforms and M1 helmets, they are often mistaken for communists by the other armies. It's understandable, I mean, who wouldn't confuse a group of soldiers wearing bright red with hammer and sickle imagery? But rest assured, even in the midst of an alien invasion, the Red Republic soldiers are still committed to democratic values. I'm sure the aliens are really impressed by their commitment to voting rights and socialized healthcare.

In Invasion mode, the Red Republic really gets to show off their stuff. Their SMG Grunts wielding MP5s can really lay down a solid wall of lead, while their AR Soldiers with fully-automatic M-16s can take out enemy forces with ease. It's almost like they have access to weapons that technically shouldn't exist. Maybe they have a secret stash somewhere, or maybe they just have a really good weapons dealer. Either way, it's clear that the Red Republic doesn't mess around when it comes to firepower.

While their choice of attire might not exactly scream "tactical advantage", they do make for quite the colorful team on the battlefield. Just be careful not to mistake them for a group of over-enthusiastic Christmas carolers or else you might end up on the wrong side of the battlefield.
