i... i can't believe i'm saying this but... this is actually valve going through corporate greed. this... this has actually made valve lose some of my respect. i have always been a super huge fan of the company, but... this has gotta be the first time they actually did something that made them lose my respect. why did valve do this? goddamit... this actually made be tear up, not even joking. eight years of work, thrown into the trash. it baffles me how people at valve actually thought this was a good response to the classic offensive devs, who have been waiting YEARS for communication from valve. well, everyone, it was fun while it lasted, now starts valve's corporate greed era, i guess. it's (possibly) joever.

gaming industry never was a good industry. remember how Atari screw themselves back in 1983. Or how shady nintendo's backgrounds were.

listen, it's just that it's hard for a Valve self-proclaimed fan like me to get over news like this. Every time something like this happens, i'm like: "Oh. Right. Valve isn't the best FPS company... No one is... sad..."

JuanGamer0202

That is incredibly shocking, big L for Valve :(

After that, I'm starting calling them another assholes ruining the gaming industry. I’m only waiting for HL3 from them, that’s it. That is how I became a Valve hater

cs:co violates the steam subscriber agreement that's existed for years what did they think would happen

while yes, that may be true, it's also really weird that they are 'violating' it, since valve agreed to them releasing the mod a little while ago, but changed their minds right before they were gonna make it public. like, what happened? did someone at valve say "hey guys i think we forgot about the subscriber agreement when we responded to the csco guys" then instantly revert it?

its because cs:go no longer has any legal way for you to obtain it, due to cs2 completely replacing it.

due to valve completely removing any cs:go steam licenses available, it makes sense that now they aren't fine with cs:go mods

well, i think that's on VALVE, not the csco devs, they're been working on it for 8 years, and cs2 only got released 2 years ago, so i don't see how that's on them also, i don't blame the devs for forgetting about the subscriber agreement, no one wants to read through a goddamn huge wall of text, it's exactly why people just agree to legal agreements and terms of services without even reading them, it's scientifically proven that it'd take like, a long-ass time to finish reading it

the cs:co devs should have stopped developing it after cs2 released, because like i said earlier its impossible to legally play cs:go anymore, which caused the cs:co devs to need to ship an entire cs:go copy (which is essentially piracy) if they violate a legal document, valve has the legal right to take it down, no matter what others think

well then, fuck valve for making cs2 and killing csco before it even released

agree, i've always been more of a classic counter-strike guy. kind of, my favorite game is CSS and not 1.6, but i still love classic CS.
